Job Description:
Venture Forward is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Laboratory Technician. In this role, you will work closely with an Associate Lab Manager or Lab Manager to oversee multiple client sites, performing various tasks to ensure smooth and efficient lab operations.

Job Requirements:
- Ensure all lab sites operate efficiently, maintaining reliability and control over lab site conditions
- Understand basic laboratory operational methods and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols through internal and external training
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols in compliance with all applicable regulations
- Coordinate vendor deliveries and onsite technicians as needed
- Serve as a liaison for vendor/technicians, managing vendor responses for lab and facility issues
- Conduct and document completion of daily, weekly, and monthly lab duties as assigned
- A vehicle is required for this position
Job Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting
- A science background is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively within a biotech environment
- Ability to self-manage time and priorities
- Willingness to undergo technical training resulting in industry-required certifications
- Responsible, dependable, and eager to accomplish all tasks as instructed
- Strong capability to follow and understand written and verbal instructions
- Proactively ask questions to supervisors and colleagues, absorbing knowledge and documenting queries to aid in training methods
- Willingness to learn through on-the-job training and accept feedback

Venture Forward has a unique opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who is looking to join forces with a small team in a fast-paced environment. Working with multiple companies on the Operations side, responsibilities would include handling items such as daily laboratory operations and equipment procurement. The opportunity includes learning the lab environment with the goal of managing a lab, installing lab equipment, planning relocations, and lab design.
This individual is welcome to apply from all aspects of industry or academia with or without any direct laboratory background. A science background is preferred but not required.
The right person for this position will have the personality and temperament to communicate with all levels of the team, within a biotech environment and have the ability to self-manage time and priorities. Technical training will be provided, resulting in certifications required within the industry.
Requirements:
- Must have a vehicle
- Be an enthusiastic learner of laboratory equipment and their requirements and placement within a lab
- Interest in purchasing: sourcing, negotiating, and procuring lab equipment
- Ability to learn the basics of laboratory systems such as pure water (RODI), neutralization systems, vacuum/compressed air systems, and backup generators
- The ability and interest to learn about Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs, that are required for permitting as it integrates with lab management
- Desire and ability to Make It Happen, regardless of challenges
- Interest & willingness to attain certifications as required
- Problem-solving and the ability to communicate well under pressure
